Terms of service

Last updated 19 October 2026

By using River Sandbox you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

River Sandbox is a free, experimental river-flow simulator. It is for learning and play. It is not a flood-forecasting, engineering, safety or navigation tool, and its results must not be relied on for decisions about people, property or the environment. The service is provided "as is" without warranties, and may change or stop at any time.

Your account

Keep your sign-in methods secure. You are responsible for what is done through your account. You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the privacy policy).

Your content

You keep ownership of the scenes you create. You give us permission to store them and to show them as you choose: to you, to people you share with, to anyone with a link you create, and publicly if you publish to the gallery. Only share or publish scenes you have the right to share. Do not upload anything unlawful, harmful, infringing or abusive, or text meant to attack other users or the service.

Gallery and reports

Gallery scenes can be reported by other users. A scene with several reports may be hidden from the gallery, and we may remove content or close accounts that break these terms or abuse the service. To report misuse, email support@riversandbox.com.

Fair use

Do not probe, overload or attempt to break the service, bypass its limits, or scrape it at a rate that affects others. Storage and requests are limited per account.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, arising from use of the service. Keep your own copy of scenes you care about (Scene → Export).

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continued use means you accept the update. Questions: support@riversandbox.com.
